I’ve been around running as far back as I can remember, from running in youth track meets on a dirt track in Crosby, MN to my run this morning it probably has been the most influential thing, outside of my family, in my life. I’ve been running for over 35 years and still today I have the same passion for it as I did running around my parents house competing in my “fake” Olympics.
Running has given me some of the absolute best feelings I’ve ever had and helped me through some of the worst feelings I’ve felt. I’ve made some of the biggest decisions of my life during a run, it’s my time to think, it’s my time to myself and my time to escape. During my years coaching I always wanted my athletes to do their best, whether it was setting a personal record, winning a championship or qualifying for the Olympic Trials and I was very lucky to be able to have worked with talented athletes that reached all of those accolades. Even more then that though, I wanted to create a lifelong runner out of each and everyone of them, for them to find the love of the sport that I have for it.
I’ve worked in Running Specialty retail for over 15 years and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the best and most progressive minds in the business. I’ve also been very lucky to work at stores that have been selected as Top 50 Running stores in the country, something someday I hope Fargo Running Company can achieve. I have a passion for running today that is as strong as it was day 1 for me at the Salt Lake Running Company. I fully believe running can change your life for the better, and anything I can do to help you with that is why I am still doing this. I love running.
